Contents
Cisco Certified Network Associate- Wireless (CCNA-Wireless)
Under the KTCIP Phase 2 project, KENET setup a total of 64 (sixty four )access points in 10 Universities located across Kenya. An additional 31 (thirty one ) access points were setup under the Campus WLAN project funded by Google and KENET.
Objective
This training is to provide the Wireless Network Administrators with skills to design , install , configure , monitor and troubleshoot a campus WLAN.
Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for technical staff that operates a TCP/IP network and intends to provide wireless connectivity to both students and faculty. The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and administering the campus WLAN.
Requirements
The participants are required to be certified with CCNA switching and routing. Each participant is also required to bring a laptop.
Course content
This is a hands on training experience where the participants will be introduced to wireless LAN Networking concepts , wireless topologies , wireless security, designing wireless networks and administering and troubleshooting wireless LAN s.
Course Cost
This is a cost recovery based training and the Participants will contribute an amount to cater for their accommodation and the trainers time. This training will cost USD...... Per Participant.
Registration
All participants will be nominated by the ICT Director/ ICT Head at the Institution . All nominations should be received by 15th July 2013. All nominations should be sent in to training@kenet.or.ke
