Kenya Education Network (KENET) is a National Research and Education Network that promotes the use of ICT in Teaching, Learning and Research in Higher Education Institutions in Kenya.
KENET aims to interconnect all the Universities, Tertiary and Research Institutions in Kenya by setting up a cost effective and sustainable private network with high speed access to the global Internet.
KENET also facilitates electronic communication among students and faculties in member institutions, share learning and teaching resources by collaboration in Research and Development of Educational content.For any queries email training@kenet.or.ke

ISOC Online Courses
KENET has partnered with the Internet Society (ISOC) to provide an online introductory course on network operations which is a prerequisite to attending KENET training. Kindly refer to the KENET website for additional information and registration procedure (https://www.kenet.or.ke/node/441). The course runs for a maximum of one month and participants will carry out the course on virtual machines provisioned on the KENET virtual lab (https://vlab.ac.ke). Kindly refer to the user guide below for a detailed procedure on how to access the lab and create virtual machines.
2017 Workshops
The KENET 2017 training calendar is out. This year, KENET plans to hold two (2) residential courses for the purpose of strengthening our member institutions technical capacity in both academic and research areas.
