Welcome to the KENET training Wiki.
Kenya Education Network (KENET) is a National Research and Education Network that promotes the use of ICT in Teaching, Learning and Research in Higher Education Institutions in Kenya.
KENET aims to interconnect all the Universities, Tertiary and Research Institutions in Kenya by setting up a cost effective and sustainable private network with high speed access to the global Internet.
KENET also facilitates electronic communication among students and faculties in member institutions, share learning and teaching resources by collaboration in Research and Development of Educational content.For any queries email training@kenet.or.ke

Note
The class shall have a maximum number of 25 participants per course. The duration of each course shall be 5 days at a cost of $1,200 per participant per course (residential for up to 6 nights). The following criteria shall be used:
i. Applicants shall be Network or Systems Administrators/Engineers with at least 1 year experience at a member institution. Entry-level ICT staff shall not be eligible
ii. Applicants MUST submit a brief CV (2 pages) with a portfolio of relevant projects or work experience
iii. Applicants from financially needy institutions shall be eligible for sponsorship by KENET partners.
iv. Applicants must submit a detailed network diagram of their campuses, clearly identifying the areas of need
v. Applicants from institutions that sent trainees to similar courses in 2014 shall be given priority. However, applicants who attended a similar course in 2014 shall not be eligible
